These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern the provision of services by Smart Bark Academy ("we", "us", "our") to you ("client", "you"). By booking, purchasing or using any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Services

Smart Bark Academy provides dog training, behaviour support, consultations, courses and related services, delivered in-person and/or online.

Services are provided on a professional, best-effort basis and are tailored to each dog and handler individually.

2. No Guarantee of Results

Dog training and behaviour modification depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to the dog’s history, health, environment, consistency of training and handler compliance.

We do not guarantee specific results or behavioural outcomes.

3. Client Responsibilities

By engaging our services, you agree that:

  • You have disclosed all relevant information about your dog(s), including behavioural history, medical conditions and previous training.

  • Your dog is fit to participate in training and has appropriate veterinary clearance where required.

  • You will follow training guidance and recommendations consistently outside of sessions.

Failure to comply with instructions may limit progress and does not entitle the client to a refund.

4. Payments

All services must be paid in full in advance unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Payments are non-transferable and apply only to the specific dog(s) and service purchased.

5. Cancellations & Client Withdrawal

If a client chooses to discontinue training for personal reasons (including stress, anxiety, time constraints or change of circumstances), this is considered a voluntary withdrawal.

Voluntary withdrawal does not constitute a breach of contract by Smart Bark Academy.

6. Refunds & Cancellations Policy

All bookings and purchases are subject to our Refund & Cancellation Policy as published on our website at the time of purchase.

By proceeding with a booking or payment, you confirm that you have had the opportunity to review and accept the applicable Refund & Cancellation Policy.

The version of the policy in force at the date and time of purchase shall apply to your order.

7. Missed Sessions

Missed sessions without sufficient notice may be forfeited and are not refundable.

The definition of sufficient notice is outlined in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

8. Health & Safety

We reserve the right to refuse or terminate a session if:

  • A dog displays unsafe levels of aggression

  • A dog is unwell or injured

  • A handler’s actions pose a risk to people or animals

In such cases, refunds are not guaranteed and will be assessed individually.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Smart Bark Academy shall not be liable for:

  • Injury to dogs, handlers or third parties during or after training

  • Loss, damage or behavioural regression

  • Indirect or consequential losses

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where prohibited by UK law.

10. Intellectual Property

All training materials, written content, videos and programmes remain the intellectual property of Smart Bark Academy.

Materials may not be copied, shared or resold without written permission.

11. Privacy & Data Protection

Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.

Any changes apply to future bookings only and do not affect services already purchased.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
