Refund & Cancellation Policy

Statutory Cancellation Rights
In accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations (UK), customers have the statutory right to cancel a service purchased online within 14 days of purchase, provided that the training has not yet commenced.

If the customer requests or agrees for the training to begin within the 14-day cooling-off period, they acknowledge and accept that their right to a full refund is waived once the service has started.

Commencement of Training
Once any training, assessment, consultation, handling, boarding, or preparation related to the booked service has commenced, no full refunds are available, regardless of the reason for cancellation.

Cancellation After Training Has Started
If a customer chooses to cancel the training after it has begun, any refund for unused sessions is not guaranteed and will be assessed at the sole discretion of Smart Bark Academy.

Any discretionary refund will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, taking into account:

  • training days already completed

  • preparation and assessment time

  • blocked availability and reserved training slots

  • operational and staffing costs

  • behavioural planning already undertaken

Personal Reasons
Cancellation due to personal circumstances, stress, anxiety, lifestyle changes, emotional discomfort, or inability to continue training does not constitute grounds for a refund.

Non-Transferability
Training packages are non-refundable and non-transferable to another dog, owner, or third party unless explicitly agreed in writing by Smart Bark Academy.

Final Decision
All refund decisions made in accordance with this policy are final.
